Life has been crazy busy the past few months! Opportunities always appear when one's most valuable resource, TIME, is limited. Salem Stitches, opened during the holiday season on the lower level of one of Old Salem's Main Street gift shops, The Moravian Book & Gift (MB&G). A partnership with Old Salem Museums and Gardens, our mission is to help keep the artisans and craftsmanship Salem has been historically known for alive for future generations.
Salem Stitches is a unique addition to the historic district with varied offerings. Pictured above is the first Vogler House quilt... we are now piecing the third quilt to be placed on the frame for visitors to "take a seat and chat while you try your hand at stitching" during Salem Saturdays. The only living history museum to offer this opportunity! We invite you to stop in and help piece, or stencil quilting lines as we prepare Quilt 3 and then Quilt 4. We are easy to find, grab a cup of tea at the Flour Box Tea Room and cross the patio.
Salem Stitches also hosts workshops in traditional and modern quilting and stitching. Check out our calendar and register on line at www.SalemStitches.com.
Kathleen is having fun getting this latest venture off the ground. Come visit and help shape Salem Stitches, the Gathering Spot for Quilters, Stitchers & Sewists.
